Choose Hope

Hello and Happy Monday!
Wet and soggy one here in Montreal this morning but that's ok.  We had some gorgeous weather all weekend!  It was perfect for getting together with friends yesterday to celebrate Thanksgiving (canada).

So we start a new challenge today at Paper Makeup and the theme is one that is quickly becoming my favorite -- Clean and Simple!  I think lots of people have different opinions of what clean and simple is.  To me, it's minimal layers with very few embellishments.  Simple :)
I really love this BCA ribbon from Paper Makeup and wanted to use it on my card this week.  It took me a little bit to figure out what layout I wanted to use, but once I worked that out, the whole thing came together super quick.

I colored up the image with my pencils and added some glitter pen so it sparkled.  The gems have been colored with a pink copic marker so they matched my color scheme.  Then I used one of the sentiments in the Faith Hope Love set that I felt had such a super awesome message.

The little border strip is punched with my MS Lace Edge punch and I embossed the top layer with the Swiss Dots folder.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Makeup Artists creations.  Then pull out your digi's and join in the fun!!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

  13. Oh Emily, your card is just lovely. You have made the most delicate creation and it really brings home the Breast Cancer Awareness Theme of HOPE that we are celebrating at Path of Positivity Challenge this month. Your pinks are preciously soft and I really love the way you put the touch of red beside your ribbon. The sentiment you used is so true and such an inspiration for all those who have entered their card this month; people really do tend to view other's cards and yours will be a stand out in terms of its beauty and delicacy. The lace is such a feminine and beautiful touch. I am thrilled you have brought your card over to us at POP. We are all the richer for having seen it. Thank you so much! Soulfully Yours, Samara DT Path of Positivity Challenge.

  15. Hello Emily, first let me say I'm so happy to meet a fellow Canadian! I myself am from northern Ontario. The card that you have created is just so beautiful and is perfect for conveying the sense of hope that all victims of breast cancer need in their lives as they battle such a dreadful disease. You have the perfect sentiment alongside a wonderful ribbon image and such pretty papers. I also really love that lace border you have included. It gives it the perfect touch of femininity.

Thank you so much for joining this month on the Path of Positivity. I'm so glad that you found my challenge and I hope that I will see more of your beautiful creations in the future.

May you always be able to draw on hope when you need it in your own life.

    Regards,
    Lisa D., Owner
