Woohooo!! It's Friday! You know I love Fridays :)
And I'm so proud of myself, I've posted a new card every day this week! That hasn't happened in months! And not just anything...but cards that I'm actually proud of and want to show off to you! That makes me even happier :)
Continuing with that today, I have another fab card that I just love!
I have had a few 6x6 Kaisercraft paper packs sitting on my desk for quite awhile now. They aren't really patterns that I am fond of (got them at a yard sale), but there are a few pages in them that I like...so I keep them around. I pulled them out for this card and tried to use up some of the likeable pieces, and I love how they matched up together so well!
I wasn't too fond of using 2 striped patterns on the same card, but I think it turned out alright. The dark brown borders around everything help to separate all the pieces.
I used another new image from Alicia's Little Shop called Alicia Loves Reading. Lately I have been diving into the Game of Thrones series. It took me quite awhile to really pick them up and start reading because I love the shows, and there is just so much information (ie. names, places, events) to keep track of that I was afraid I would get overwhelmed. Fortunately I have a husband who's brain is like a sponge...seriously he remembers just about everything. So if I get confused or stuck, he's normally able to remind me or walk me through my confusion. It's been a good read so far and I'm excited to move on to the rest of the books.
Anyhow, back to my card :)
I cut out a scallop circle to frame her in and ran a brown ribbon and bow behind everything. The last few details were the pearls around the image and running down my little accent flag. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. I thought it went well with the image since normally reading is a relaxing activity for people :)
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
