The Love of Fall!

Happy 1 Week to my blog!  Can't believe it has been a week already...I know, that's not very long, but it's exciting for me :)  I really love my blog and I hope everyone else does as well!
Another fall card to show today!  I absolutely love this card and the way it turned out.
This card was so much fun to make!  I never really have a plan set in place when I sit down to make a card.  Sometimes I do, but most of the time it seems I just take a desired image I want to use and build elements around it.  That's sort of what I did for this card.  The pumpkins are from the Cricut Holiday Cakes cartridge.  That was one of my favorite images when I purchased the cartridge, but I have never used it for a card!  So I wanted that to be my focus today.  I started searching blogs for challenges (since I'm new to all the blogging stuff, I'm still trying to explore and find new challenges) and I found a sketch challenge at Party Time Tuesdays.  I really enjoy working with sketches because even though I don't plan my cards, I like to have an idea of where my elements are going to go, so a sketch is perfect!
So I drew out my sketch and then started deciding what I was going to use.  A couple of challenges I discovered were for multiple layers, fun borders, and leaves.  So I figured, why not put them all together?
I used my Martha Stewart Double Arches punch to make a backdrop border, glued that to a leaf patterned paper, and attached them both to my card front.
Then I cut out a scalloped border, the pumpkins and a frame with my cricut.  I inked the pumpkins slightly so they had some detail since I didn't like just the plain paper.  I attached a brown ribbon and bow and mounted that onto the card.
The leaves are just a blackout image on the Holiday Cakes cartridge.  I didn't want to cut out the details as I thought it would pull away from the pumpkins.  So I did the blackout and just drew in some minor details with a brown gel pen.  I cut out a small sentiment tag with a pair of scallop scissors and wrote in the sentiment with the same brown gel pen.
I am realizing more and more that I am in desperate need of sentiment stamps...while my handwriting is okay, stamps are just so much nicer!  Something else for me to work on :)
This card has been entered into the following challenges:

Party Time Tuesday Challenge #34-Sketch and/or Monochromatic
    Critter Sketch Challenge #83-Recipe Challenge
The Kraft Journal: Welcome Fall Challenge
Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #85-Lots of Layers
Raise the Bar Challenge #75-"Leave" Summer

I'm so excited!  This is the first card I have entered into multiple challenges!  And it fits all of them!  So proud of myself :)
Enjoy and Happy Scrapping!
