Pink, Pink, Pink!

TGIF!  I don't know about you, but this week has been dragging for me!  I'm glad it is finally the weekend!
Today's card is very simple but oh so sweet!
The image is from Pixie Dust Studio and I just love it!  Every time I scan through my collection, I spot this one and tell myself I need to use it SOON!  Well I finally did!  I was also able to use up some of my scraps stash on this card.
The pink leopard print paper I have had for quite some time, and I had made a box with it awhile ago which left me all these tiny odd sized pieces.  But they were perfect size for this layout!
I colored in the image with my colored pencils...each time I use them I realize that my color selection is quite minimal...like when I make a pink card and want to color the shirt pink...but oh right, no pink pencil!  Ugh...I will have to improve my collection very soon!  But I did the best I could with what I had :)
For the heart, I added some glossy dimensional accents to it and then sprinkled it with red glitter.
I cut out the pink border using my Cricut Holiday Cakes cartridge and then punched the little holes with my eyelet tool.  I strung a pink glitter ribbon across the top of that and added some red pearl embellishments.  Then I did some hand stitching/doodling around all the panels and it was done!
Like I said, simple but so sweet!

Congrats Wedding Card

Happy Friday to everyone!  This week has been so full of wedding stuff that I decided to make a wedding card!
How cute!  I just love how it turned out!  I debated with the heart border on the side...there were more hearts on it but I trimmed it down and that seemed to help it fit better with the card.  I love when cards turn out so well!
The image is Forever from Pixie Dust Studio.  It's such a sweet image!  I just absolutely love it.  It's colored with colored pencils and then I added a little heart doodle around the edge.  The frame is cut from the Cricut Holiday Cakes cartridge.  I staggered the black and red layers so that they both framed the image.  I think that worked out pretty good.  The heart border is cut from the Love Struck cartridge.
I double embossed the back frame with the D'vine Swirls folder and then clear embossing powder.  It's hard to see in the picture, but now it has a shine over the swirls and adds a bunch to the card.
Then I added my roses!  These are easily my favorite embellishment right now!  They are easy to make, which is great because then I can pump out 6 of them quickly to put on my card :)
Added the Congrats tag as the finishing touch!  Oh yeah, there is a thin black ribbon in there too :)

Love and Valentine Cards

Happy Thursday everyone!
I have a few very cute cards to share with you today!  This first card I absolutely love!
The image is a Romeo and Juliet digi image that I won from Pixie Dust Studio (she has some absolutely adorable images there!  Check them out.)  I layered the image twice and then colored it in with my colored pencils.  I added some glitter to Juliet's headband, dress and the wings.  The heart I cut from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge and used my eyelet tool to make the holes bigger.
The frame background is cut from the French Manor cartridge.  All the additional cut lines I hid so that it was a solid cut.  I then embossed the white with my Spellbinders Pebbles template.  To give the paper a shimmer, I swiped silver paint over top, added some blue stickles to some of the squares and then added some stitching to the black.
I found the wings cut file online here and cut them out twice, using white glitter paper for the top.  I've been playing around with different paper rose styles and combined a few to come up with the style that I used on these flowers.  I absolutely love them!  I added some clear glitter to the tops so they sparkled!  It's so pretty!  I just love it so so much!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
    Sketches by Carly #46
    Fantabulous Cricut #90-Rolling In Ribbon
    Pixie Dust Studio #105-Stitching
    Tuesday Throwdown #78-For Someone Special

The second card I want to share is for Valentine's Day.  I decided to switch holidays already... :)
The sketch for this card was so simple that it really stumped me.  I tried several different elements and color combinations and nothing really seemed to work.  After I worked out my roses in the previous card, I loved them so much that I thought they would work out great for this card.  I cut out the heart background from the Paper Lace 2 cartridge and the sentiment from Holiday Cakes.  I put a little strip of ribbon across the top and stuck on the roses!  So beautiful!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
    Try Stampin on Tuesday #45
Ladybug Crafts #50-Bingo (I used Ribbon, Flowers, and Die Cuts)
    The Paper Variety-Anything Goes
