href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/ca\/listing\/225165909\/digital-stamp-asleep-in-gold-200-deal?ref=shop_home_active_3\"\u003EAsleep in Gold\u003C\/a\u003E image.\u0026nbsp; I really love this image and had a lot of fun watercoloring him in...but realize now that my coloring isn't a nice as I thought it was.\u0026nbsp; It looks really splotchy..I need lots of practice with that stuff...ugh.\u0026nbsp; It still turned out cute but I'll have to try again I think :)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI just love that this cutie is tucked into a pot of gold.\u0026nbsp; Wouldn't that be so fun?\u0026nbsp; I used some really bright papers for my card in an attempt to brighten my mood.\u0026nbsp; The rainbow paper was a touch too bright though, so I toned it down with some vellum, which I also printed the sentiment on and embossed with some sparkly gold.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI cut out a bunch of shamrocks to line the top of the panel, and then put a layer of that surrounds it.\u0026nbsp; I have a soft spot in my heart for the Irish and am diligently saving my pennies so we can make a trip to Ireland someday.\u0026nbsp; So of course I adored this fun release!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWhen Sami posted the images, there was one that I had to have..and I think Sami knew I would snag it as well :)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" him up and putting him on a card!\u0026nbsp; I had this vision of a fun chevron type background behind the image but I wasn't sure if I wanted it to be a full cutout background or like a stenciled background.\u0026nbsp; So I set out to look for some ideas\/inspiration and settled on doing a full cutout.\u0026nbsp; I found this fun background in the Silhouette store and cut it out in green.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe paper behind it has been inked up in different shades of yellow and then splattered with the refill ink from one of the pads I used.\u0026nbsp; I wanted it to be a bit more splotchy, but I'm still happy with how it turned out.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThen I grabbed my sewing machine!\u0026nbsp; Man, I've been having fun with that lately!\u0026nbsp; I mean, yeah there were a few moments where I wanted to throw the thing out the window because it kept jamming on me while I was figuring out the settings...but now that I have it worked out, I'm having a blast sewing every card in sight!\u0026nbsp; So I zigzagged a stitch in gold around the edge.\u0026nbsp; Then layered my image onto a chalked scene with some sparkles in the sky.\u0026nbsp; Since I cut the image out, I used some twine to represent the string that the shamrock is attached to.\u0026nbsp; Then used that same twine in the button (which I colored orange to \/\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/div\u003EThose shamrocks would be perfect with almost anything!\u0026nbsp; I had a different layout in mind for this card, but as I was putting it all together, this is kind of how the pieces fell and I really love it!\u0026nbsp; The image is \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/ca\/listing\/181807310\/digital-stamp-twisted-shamrock?ref=shop_home_active_2\"\u003ETwisted Shamrocks\u003C\/a\u003E and I've colored them in with my ShinHan markers and added some glitter pen and liquid pearls to the centers.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI printed off the sentiment, flagged the ends and then layered it on top of the image, lining it up with the stripe of glitter tape I put underneath the image panel.\u0026nbsp; The final touch was liquid pearls on the sentiment banner and in the corners to tie it all together.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr
