Snuggle Up to a Good Book

Happy Friday!
Today we have another fabulous new release from Sami Stamps to share with you, and I just loved this release!  I love them all, but this one just set perfectly with me.

The release is Snuggle up with a Good Book.  Lately I have been totally entranced in Game of Thrones.  I have a hard time putting it down.  I'm on the third book and even though I know what is sort of happening from watching the show, it has still managed to grasp me and keep me hooked.

So lets check out some of these fantastic images! *This ended up being a pretty long post!  There is just so much to show you!!! :) *
This first card features the image ABC's with Mom and it's so precious.  I just love the little kid snuggled up in mom's arms...so adorable!  I used some papers from Lawn Fawn for the background and paired it with a polka dot brown from my stash.  The sentiment stamp just seemed to capture the whole card perfectly so I stamped it into a tag under the image.  Then cut out the heart banner with my Silhouette and added stickles to the hearts.  The whole card was finished off with some simple blue and clear gems.

I would like to enter this "Count Your Blessings" card into the following challenges:

    Word Art Wednesday #115-Anything Goes

So the "Keep Calm" phrases seem to be around for everything right now, and when I saw this image that was the first thing that popped into my mind.  Relaxing calmly on the couch with an awesome book.  I kept the card simple because I wanted the image to really stand out.  This image is My Freetime, and who doesn't love to read in their freetime? :)

I punched out some 1/2 inch circles and sewed them into a stripe at the top.  Then added a few simple buttons for extra detailing and zing.  The sentiment is printed and then layered onto some coordinating flags.  The image has been colored in with my ShinHan markers...slowly gaining confidence with those :)

I would like to enter this "Keep Calm" card into the following challenges:
    Ladybug Crafts-Clean and Simple
    Pattie's Creations #83-Stitching

This last card features a little pre-Valentine sneak peak :)
I just love this sweet "Warm Love" image!  And the card isn't half bad either :)
I wanted the card to be really soft and sweet but still contain that chilly winter feeling.  So I used a soft pink patterned paper on the bottom and layered on a scrap piece that matched the pink really well but also brought in some other colors.

This past Christmas I received an absolutely awesome give from Matthew's dad and stepmom.  She is a massive yard-saler and managed to score me a complete set of Stampin Up ink pads...in their wooden shelf...and with all the refills!!  It was so awesome I cried :)  I have loved the major variety in colors that I now have available to me, so I pulled some of those out for this card.  It was so awesome how quickly I could find colors to match the papers.

I cut out a bunch of hearts with my Silhouette and then inked them up and layered them together at the top of the card.  I colored the image in with my pencils and then layered it onto a Memory Box Sussex Snowflake die cut that I cut out twice to make a frame.

The last touch was a few little hearts falling down around the image and a cute little sentiment flag :)

I'd like to enter this "Love is in the Air" card into the following challenges:
    Inky Impressions-Pink and Girly
    In the Pink #35-Anything Goes
    Penny's Paper Crafty #160-Embellishments

  1. I love this collection! Reading books was always important in my family, and I often read to my two sons when they went to bed at night. Thanks for bringing back such great memories! Your coloring is fantastic, so I'd say you're getting the hang of the pens just fine!
